Our History
History of RBTM
RBTM, formerly www.RSImagazine.com, has been online since January 1999. We were the first to feature artists like Connor O’Brien (opened for Mariah Carey) and Jackie Salvucci (appeared on Rosie O’Donnell, Making the Band, Dead in the Water). We have seen these artists, as well as many more, mature in their music over the years. We plan to update the public on their successes to come.
RSImagazine.com started as a high school webdesign class; told to pick a topic and produce a full site on that. Music, being my first love, was the only thing I could think of. At that time, a few of my friends were trying to make their big break into the music industry so my main focus was purely on unsigned artists at that time. I wanted to help spread the word of their music and to help make the public aware of their name.
Since then, I’ve met many wonderful artists [ National Product , Anberlin , Autovein & more] that deserve to be promoted so that they can get their big break somewhere down the road. So, not only did I pass my webdesign class, I also picked up on a great hobby that I love. And who knows, one of these days I just might make it my dream career.
2009: Raised By The Music now has over 6,200 friends on myspace and that number is still growing. With the changes we’ve made this year, we have big plans in the works. In the coming year, we have ideas for compilation albums, merchandise (tshirts, calendars, etc) and more.
